The $100 Welcome Bonus is what Everest Poker calls an incremental bonus. This means that the bonus Dollars are converted to real money in incremental amounts and credited to your real money balance as you earn it. Through qualifying play at a real money table or tournament, you will earn Summit Points. When you leave the table or complete a tournament, Everest Poker will move $0.07 of your Incremental Bonus to your real money balance for every one (1) Summit Point you earn. For example, if you earn 100 Summit Points at a real money table, you will be credited with $7.00 of your bonus after you stand up from the table. Software
Everest Poker is not a part of any poker network, instead operating on software developed by Grand Virtual. The software has an innovative look, runs smoothly and offers a training mode for new players. The software is updated regularly with some downtime as a result.
- Statistics: The data and statistics functions in Everest Poker's software allow you to take notes on the opposition during play, and the lobby supplies vital table statistics like viewed-flop percentage, average pot-size, seated player's stack size and hands played per hour. Hand histories are user-friendly but take some time to work with; details for hands expire after 30 days, which is a drawback. Players can get a snapshot of their statistics for a session at a table by selecting "your statistics" in the top right corner of the active table.
- Multi-Table: The latest version of Everest Poker's software supports play at eight tables simultaneously; multi-table play usually runs well but some disconnect problems have been reported at Everest Poker. Everest Poker is decently suited for multi-table play with big and easily visible cards and straightforward software. However, the tables are a fixed size, cluttered and small and there is no mini view or other multi- table special function.
- Graphics: The graphics of the Everest Poker software are clean and crisp, which most users seem to appreciate. The table functions are easy to learn and well oriented on the table. Each player has the choice of several good-looking avatars that change position depending on where the player is seated.
- Special Features: The Everest Poker software offers basic features that players are used to on any poker site, but Everest Poker also has a unique viewpoint function that allows players to see the table from any seat.
Everest Poker: How easy is it to make money here?
The level of play is very loose. Down at the $0.02 no limit tables, you can see flop% of 70-80 regularly, with average pot sizes over $1. Move up to $0.10, and the flop% is still a very fishy average of 50% with pot sizes around the $3-$4 average area.
Because the site is clearly aimed at beginners, you find a lot of them there as you would expect. Obviously this means bad beats and suckouts, and you can forget trying to get somebody off a pot by giving them bad odds, but if you open up 5 tables and play a good solid game there are plenty of people ready to hand you their stack as long as they have bottom pair and a low – hang on what’s a kicker again?
The tournaments are the same story – with entry fees starting as low as $0.04 + $0.01 for single table SNGs, the fish rating is almost obscene and you will see all-in moves and calls with any two cards higher than a Joker. The freeroll MTT’s with small prize funds are the same and there is very little skill involved.
Player Traffic
Everest Poker's player volume has quickly reached very respectable numbers, with games concentrated in low- and medium-limit Texas Hold'em. Player traffic has been steadily increasing due to the heavy marketing campaigns in Germany and other European and Scandinavian Countries.
Everest Poker has peak cash game traffic of 6,000 real-money players at peak hours.
Playability
The Everest Poker lobby is excellent and contains all of the information you need in a very easy to use format. Your account balance is there on screen, as is a list of all the tables in a scrollable and sortable list – no messing around with selecting your limit or table sizes, just scroll to the one you want. There is a “seat finder” option as well which lets you select your limit, stake and table size, and it will find you an empty seat – a nice feature, and neater than having to find a full table and joining a waiting list. When highlighting a table in the list you are instantly shown all the people on it, including their stack size, a feature which should really be standard by now on all poker room lobbies.
There are however a few bad points. The login seemed very slow compared to other sites – and when you navigate round the site, you often get windows popping up with annoying “please wait” timers. You soon get used to these though, but they can get frustrating especially when you hit the wrong button.
The table view is not so nice. At first glance it looks nice and neat – but then you look at the cards. They are blurry, small, and look as though somebody has turned the brightness and contrast up too high. Playing for 2 hours was uncomfortable on the eyes. The layout of the table and the graphics are not bad, and the ability to spin the table is quite clever. The chat is nice and clear, and all the usual functions such as 4 colour deck and auto muck are available.
There is no PokerEdge support, and with the client in its current format this is unlikely to ever appear. Hand history is limited to you reading back what is in the chat window, and the card suits are represented by graphics rather than text. They are not stored on your hard-drive and not available by email or any other way. Because the user base is so small at present, don’t hold your breath for external application support any time soon.
The table has a “your statistics” option which shows you fairly comprehensive stats on the percentage of times that you have played, checked, check-raised, called, bet, raised, re-raised, folded and won at the point of deal, flop, turn and river.
Another fairly novel feature is the “Poker Tutorial” area, which trains you how to play poker from scratch. This site is clearly aimed at the beginner, evident by the heavy promotion of this tutorial function.

Everest Poker's customer service is conducted through email. To contact them, one must fill out a data sheet through their website and await them to contact you by email.
